What is Selank?
Selank is a synthetic analogue of tuftsin — an immune tetrapeptide — extended with the same stabilizing Pro-Gly-Pro tail as its sibling compound Semax. Developed by the same Russian institute, Selank took the opposite research direction: where Semax is studied for cognition and neuroprotection, Selank’s literature centres on anxiety pathways, GABAergic modulation, and enkephalin stability (it slows the breakdown of the brain’s endogenous opioid peptides).
